Clarification & Disinfection: Treated water is separated from biomass in a sedimentation tank. The clarified supernatant is recycled (re-fluxed) for further processing, while the water is purified in a disinfection pool where sodium hypochlorite is used to eliminate pathogens. A fan supplies the necessary aeration.
Sludge Management: Excess sludge is regularly suctioned and transferred to a sludge tank for holding and further processing. The final treated water is discharged via a drain pit.
